Ordinance 1942-77 AN ORDINANCE
UMEREAS, on February 9, 1942, there will be in force and
effect a Federal Statute whereby as to all Federal transactions and
matters of interstate commerce are concerned a daylight saving time
of one hour faster has been adopted and will be in full force and
effect;
THER4EFORJ6', BE IT OR!)AIId-JD by the president and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois:
Section 1. That the Village of Yorkville adopt and con-
form to the Federal time as in force on February 9, 1942, during
the period such said act is in force, the same being a time one
hour faster than present central standard time, said time to be
known as " Tar Time" or sucii other designation as may be applied
thereto by Federal law or regulation;
Section 2. Said Federal time as defined in Section 1
hereof shall be the official time of said Village during the period
mentioned in Section 1;
Section 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance be
transLiitted to the Recorder of Deeds of Kendall County, Illinois;
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and the 9th day of February,
1942, and shall continue in force and effect during such time as the
Federal law hereinabove mentioned remains in force and effect as to
such time.
