Fire and Police Minutes 2004 01-05-04 BOARD OF FAKE AND POLICE COMMISSION Meeting Minutes January S,20U4 Pe Meeting called to order:7:30 p,m. Roll Call: Chairman Johnson Commissioner Jensen Commissioner Putzler Also present: Chief Martin Previous Meeting Minutes: Minutes from 11/17/03 were approved. Motion by Commissioner Jensen, seconded by Commissioner Putzler. Motion carried. Communications: Stanard and Associates sent correspondence re: Firefighters Promotional Act and promotional material for supervisory testing, TFPRA sent correspondence re: Firefighters Promotional Act. Stanley Slowik sent an advertisement for training and interviewing candidates. 2004 minute schedule from the city sets the quarterly meetings on 1/28/04 4/28/04 7/28/04 10/27/04 Theodore Polygraph Service sent the original polygraph tests for: Patrick McMahon Raymond Mikolasek Jason Quinn Andrew Jelienewski Nicholas Smudzinski Bills for Payment: Theodore Polygraph Service: $500.00 for 5 polygraphs National Vision Consultants: $1,000.00 for renewal ofone year contract (old contract expires January 9, 2004) Unfinished Business: The commission received a memo re: Hattabaugh. He stated he is not ready for employment with Yorkville at this time. He will be advised he is entitled to a Passover and can still remain on the list if he puts his request in writing. New Business: Candidate James Bell called inquiring about not being credited the 5 points for education as the commission had received his transcripts. Upon review of his file,the commission determined it was correct to not crediting the points as a request for the same in writing was not received,,just the school transcripts. Commissioner Putzler moved to go into executive session for purposes of hiring, firing and discipline of personnel with Chief Martin present. Commissioner Jensen seconded. Roll Call: Chairman Johnson Commissioner Jensen Commissioner Putzler Motion carried. Entered executive session at 8:07 p.m.with Chief Martin also present. Exited executive session at 8:20 p.m.with no formal action taken. Commissioner Jensen moved to offer Andrew Jeleniewski a conditional offer of employment. Before making a final hiring decision offer the commission would like transcripts of an interview with Chief Milsap of South Holland and to review his psychological test and medical test. Commissioner Putzler seconded. Roll Call: Chairman Johnson Commissioner Jensen Commissioner Putzler Motion carried. The next meeting is scheduled for January 26, 2004 at 7:30 p.m, Commissioner Jensen moved to adjourn and Commissioner Putzler seconded. Meeting adjourned at 9:40 p-m. {
