Diana sent a letter to Edward but has not heard back. Diana motioned to accept the new

Tom asked if Diana or Sylvia had gotten the letter for the businesses stating their brochures had
been approved as of last month. He had done and e-mailed them, but Diana said her e-mail was
not working, and Sylvia was not present. He will send it again.
There was a question if anything further had been heard about the hurricane victim that was
mentioned last month. Diana said she heard nothing f irthcr and had seen nothing more in the
press or on the radio,
Historical Street Names
A thank you to Glory for all the work she had done in re-doing the forms. Tom asked about the
non-approval letter, and if one was sent to the person nominated (if living), as well as the
nominee. Glory said this could be done.
Rose asked Glory about the Grand Reserve naming of the street that was McLellan, not
McClellan, They are keeping their choice, and since the sound is too close to the historical name,
this will then not be able to be used. Since the street sign for Godard had not yet been printed,
this has been changed in the records to be correct when the sign is printed.
Glory will send out letters to all who made nominations that we need more information on. There
was a question as to how to get more nominees. A suggestion was made to ask the schools to do
a class project. Rose suggested asking Council to discuss the possible changes in the wording. It
was also suggested to check if it would be possible to go into the Legion or some other club with
large numbers in attendance and have forms available to be filled out. Madonna suggested asking
at Hillside, where her Mom is. Cele will make it a point to have a"Founder's Day" at the Golden
Diners Deli in January to see if the seniors can come up with names for nomination,
There was discussion on the wording of how many streets need to be historical names in each
subdivision. Should it be 10% or a minimum of one street, due to small sizes of some.
