Committee Reports: City Liaison Report —The police department is still short one (1) officer. The applicants list is short. Have schedule seven(7)for oral interviews. Human Resource Commission no longer has the task of reviewing prospective new officers. When the Police and Fire Commission Board was formed, they assumed the responsibility. City Council —R.Spears will share her information under Old Business for Street naming workshop. Mayor- none Parks and Recreation-The new summer catalog will be in the mail in two weeks. More adult and teen programs are listed. The skate board park hasn't opened yet and may not. The rent has gone up to $1200. per month. A lot of people worked hard to build it and they do not want to abandon the sport and place for teens to go skateboarding. They will have more information on it next month. The average usage is 800-900 times which is too little. The board is too small, there is little room. The rent cost will require raising the usage fee and that will make many kids unhappy. Plans are still being worked on for it to open and cut the cost. The pool idea is still pending, haven't found a reasonable site and negotiations are still going on. There is an indoor facility agreement being worked on with the school district for shared programs or just usage of the buildings on school premises. Libraa Board—none School District—none Old Business: The Street Naming project must have a procedure checklist in order to process the incoming nominations. The city clerk will begin the process as the initial contact with the incoming nominations. Please review the following page as the checklist. Each step that requires a form will be reviewed and numbered. There will be 2 binders (notebooks). The binders will temporarily be stored with Chief Martin until the city clerk has been advised of the method for processing. The notebooks location will be settled on at a later date for ease of the clerk and HRC to stay updated and continued processing of incoming nominations. After much discussion and an all out effort to avoid duplication the checklist was completed. A sense of structure for this project has begun. Visitors' Center—Time allowed no discussion.
