City Council Minutes 2000 12-28-00 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, HELD IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS. 800 GAME FARM ROAD, ON THURSDAY. DECEMBER 28. 2000. Mayor Prochaska called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. COMMITTEE REPORTS PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE REPORT RATIFY APPROVAL TO PURCHASE NEW TRUCK A motion was made by Alderman Sowinski to approve the purchase of one 2001 International Diamond SPEC 4900 6x4 dual axle 7 CY truck with plow frame and controls for the Public Works Department from J. Merle Jones & Sons International of Joliet forthe total cost of $72,705.54 and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the necessary purchase documents on behalf of the United City of Yorkville; seconded by Alderman James. (ORDINANCE) 2000 -67 PC2000 -26 INLAND LAND APPRECIATION FUND II REZONING A motion was made by Alderman Burd to approve the rezoning from R-4 General Residence District to B -3 Service Business District of the property owned by Inland Land Appreciation Fund II, L.P., a Delaware Limited Partnership for 0.632 acres in the southeast quadrant of Illinois Route Minutes of the Reaular Meeting of the Citv Council - December 28. 2000 - Paae 3 47 and Route 34 as legally described in the Application for PC2000 -26; seconded by Alderman Sowinski. Motion approve by a roll call vote. Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 Sowinski -aye, Anderson -aye, James -aye, Spears -aye, Burd -aye (ORDINANCE) 2000 -68 PC2000 -03 TUCKER DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION PRELIMINARY PLAT APPROVAL OF YORKVILLE MARKET PLACE A motion was made by Alderman Burd to approve the Preliminary Plat for the Tucker Development Corporation's Yorkville Market Place in the southeast quadrant of Illinois Route 47 and Route 34 as presented for PC2000 -03; seconded by Alderman Spears. There was discussion and suggestions. It was recommended that the motion be restated. Alderman Spears withdrew her second, Alderman Burd withdrew her motion. The motion was restated. A motion was made by Alderman Burd to approve the Preliminary Plat for the Tucker Development Corporation's Yorkville Market Place in the southeast quadrant of Illinois Route 47 and Route 34 as presented for PC2000 -03, subject to the comments of Joe Wyrott, the city attorney and Mike Shoppe; seconded by Alderman Spears. Motion approve by a roll call vote. Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 Anderson -aye, James -aye, Spears -aye, Burd -aye, Sowinski -aye PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE REPORTS No report. ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE REPORTS (ORDINANCE) 2000 -69 TAXPAYER'S BILL OF RIGHTS A motion was made by Alderman Anderson to approve the Taxpayer's Bill of Rights Ordinance as presented in accordance with State of Illinois requirements; seconded by Alderman Sowinski. Motion approve by a roll call vote. Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 James -aye, Spears -aye, Burd -aye, Sowinski -aye, Anderson -aye VOIDING OF OLD UN- CASHED CHECKS A motion was made by Alderman Anderson to approve voiding 82 old, un- cashed checks totaling $46,811.89 issued from 1994 to April 1999 as presented in the listing dated 11/13/00; seconded by Alderman Sowinski. Motion approve by a roll call vote.
