Minutes for Approval: Minutes from March 4,2002 meeting approved with the correction
Schwartzkoph's name.
Communications: March 19,2002 will be the last day of Ikemeyer's employment with the City of
Yorkville. The committee reviewed a letter from state representative Tom Cross. No one from the
committee will be attending the conference in April. Minutes from February 4 and February 10 meetings
were approved on March 10,2002.
Bills for Payment: None
Unfinished Business: The commission went into an Executive Session. Chief Martin and Laura Schultz
will be present in this meeting.

Executive Session Dismissed: The first formal action lathe executive session that took place was the
setting of the final eligibility list with Schwatzkoph promoted to position of lieutenant. All in favor say
aye. Commissioner Putzler-Aye Commissioner Jensen-Aye Commissioner Johnson-Aye. The
second formal action that took place was the conditional offers of employment to the first and second
applicants on the list. These two being Denise Janacek and Kelly Garcia. At this point in time the
commission will instruct Chief Martin to proceed on the hiring process. The commission will proceed on
the third choice after the lawyers advice. Commissioner Putzler-Aye Commissioner Jensen-Aye
Commissioner Johnson -Aye. The times for interviews are set for April 1,2002.
Commissioner Johnson entertains a motion to dismiss the meeting. All parties in favor,meeting
adjourned. 7:55 p.m.
