Human Resource Commission Minutes 1999 02-04-99Feb- 16-99 13 : 27 P_02 CITY or YORRVILLE HUNAN RESOURCE CO)*QBSION 111 WIST FOX STUZT YOPXVILLI, IL 60560 Minutes for February 4, 1999 Meeting The meeting was called to order by Co-Chairman LuAnne Peters at 5: 45p.m. Members present: Co-Chairman Doug Trumble, Wanda O'Hare, Rose Kahle, Robert James, and Diana Lento-Reidy. A motion was made by Wanda O'Hare to approve the January 7, 1999 minutes as mailed, seconded by Doug Trumble. Motion passed. Committee Reports : 1 . Chief Graff was recovering from recent surgery so he did not attend this meeting . There was no Census 2000 Update. He had called Co-Chairmaia LuAnne Peters and gave an update about the COPS Officer Position. As of the February 3, 1999 3 : 00 p.m. deadline only one officer had applied. Chief Graff stated that we would not need to interview this officer at the scheduled February 18, 1999 meeting. The committee decided to meet anyway and use that meeting to work on the annual committee report that Mayor Bob Johnson has requested. Old Business : 1 . Co-Chairman Doug Trumble reviewed the Goals that had been written at the last meeting. All committee members agreed the Goals are to be left as written. 2 . Doug discussed working on the Objectives for each of the four Goals. He directed the members to each write two or. three Objectives for each Goal . When this was accomplished Diana Lento-Reidy wrote each member' s Objectives on a flip chart. All members perused the information and agreed on the following Objectives tor each corresponding Goal : GOAL A: Empower the community to take responsibility for the community and neighborhood needs of small children, youth, adults, and senior citizen. OBJECTIVES: 1 . Develop/Sponsor a Welcome Committee to greet new residents . snow mustang? Our Mission ie to bele make Yorkville a safe place where people will want to live and bueio... ,rill want to locate. We will have a positive impact, building a sense of community through pro3ects that will continuo to wake Yorkville a better place.
