Human Resource Commission Minutes 2000 09-07-00UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE HUMAN RESOURCE COMMISSION COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES 804 GAME FARM ROAD YORKVILLE, IL 60560 Location: YORKVILLE Police Department — Conference Room 804 Game Farm Road Date: September 7, 2000 Time: 5:50 P.M. Attendees: Doug Trumble Sylvia Kurtz Robert James Rose Kahle Wanda Ohare Chief Tony Graff Alder woman Rose Spears Mayor Arthur Prochaska (6:25-6:45) Meeting called to order by Doug Trumble at 5:50 P.M. No citizen comments COMMITTEE REPORT: 1.CITY LIAISON a.Census 2000 update was given by Chief Graff He reported the census bureau has began to close local offices and we should receive preliminary numbers next year sometime, no date has been given yet. b.Pinewood resource center report was given by Chief Graff. He began by telling the commission about the donation that the city received which was an office trailer. The trailer will be place in the riverfront park area near the COM ED sub- station. Chief Graff says we need to discuss the future use for this trailer as the community resource center and t5ranisition or scale down the use of the Pinewood Resource Center. The commission will be provided an update from the Pinewood Executive Board sometime in November/December. OLD BUSINESS: 1.Millennium Project update was given by Mayor Prochaska who presented his thoughts on had further iscussion on location how the clock project would look. NEW BUSINESS: 1.Chief Graff discussed the newly formed Yorkvillewevolved from the Charaunity Coalition forcterlCounts This is a Not-For-Profit organization (501 c3) hich Coalition. ADDITIONAL BUSINESS: Wanda Ohare discussed a request from the Treasurer Bob Allen commreference ssion co toeiewthe United uit d Methodist Church which is for sale. Mr. Allen requestedththisfacilityforaculturalcentertypeofactivity. The commission believe this isn't their role at this time. Next scheduled meeting will be October 12, 2000, at 5:45 P.M.
