Library Board Minutes 1980 10-13-80The Yorkville Public Library Board of Directors met at the library on Monday.
October 13, 19F0. Boll Ball was taken as follows- Gardner, L. Henbadc, D. Hanback,
Munson, Skinner, Tutll and Nary Thoaas, Librarian. Absent were Behrens, Thompson,
Mason. and Middleton.
The Secretary's report was approved as read.
The Treasurer's report was filed showing a cash on hand balance of $4$9.03.
Gardner moved and Manson seconded that all bills be paid between now and the next
meeting. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Gardner-yes, Hanback-yea, Hanson-
yes. Skinners-yes, Yuillyes. 5-yes, O-no. Motion carried.
The Librarian's reports for August and September were distributed. A new
program has been started called"Films Sandwiched In." It meets on the first Friday
of the month. We also have started a Coupon Facchange. Mary reported that a
collector from the Beacon News was using the library as a place for the delivery
boys to deliver their collections. The board feels this is not a proper function
of the library and have instructed Mary to notify the Beacon News office.
Dan Hanback reported that storage is available for the shelving units. The
Department of Transportation has been in contact with James Clarage. The state
feels the maximum square foot replacement would be 3500 square feet.
The city auditor has suggested that the City Secretary take over the treasurer' s
job and per all bills. No action was taken.
Skinner moved and Munson seconded that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried.
The next meeting will be Monday, January 12, 1981.
