Library Board Minutes 1982 05-10-82The Library Board met Monday, May 10, 1982 at the library.
Absent were M. Thompson, J. Middleton, L. Beach, C. Gardner.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
The treasurer's report was filed for audit.
A motion was made to pay April and May bills, including May
salaries, dependent upon the City of Yorkville giving the board
a $12,000 advancement. If the advancement is not approved,
bills shall be paid in the order'listed, excluding the Bur Oak
System Library bills, as money becomes available. The motion
was made by Behrens, seconded by Yuill. Roll Call vote -
Behrens, yes; Yuill, yes; Skinner, yes; Mason, yes; M.J. Gardner,
yes. I
J. Skinner reported that the Yorkville Library will be represented
in the BOLS for another year and she will continue to attend the
meetings as the Yorkville represeitative.
M. Thomas presented the librarian's report for the month of April.
The librarian, M. Thomas, recommended that the library discontinue
the policy of giving teachers in the Yorkville school district
courtesy library cards. Instead, she suggested that a library
card be given to every school and teachers may use the card when
nedessary for school purposes. Behrens made the motion to accept
the recommendation, Yuill seconded. All in favor, motion carried.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Behrens, seconded by
Skinner. All in favor, meeting adjourned at 8:55 p.m.
