Library Board Minutes 1982 07-12-82j 1 'i;
The Library Board met Monday, July 12 at the library.
Present at : the meeting were Board members M. Behrens,
M. J. Gardner, J. I,Tiddleton, J. Skinner, M. Thompson;
also Mayor Thanepohn and Aldermen L. Beach and F. Dollnan. '
J. Middleton opened the meeting. M. Behrens was ap-
pointed chairman pro-tem. A question of legality of the
meeting was raised because of the delay in the •Iayor's
appointments. (According to library law appointments
shall be made by July 1 . ) The Mayor replaced members
Bob Yuill, B. Mason and L. Beach, with Mary Ellen Ellis,
Jim Brant, and Larry Jennings.
Roll call was taken. Minutes were read and approved.
The Treasurer's report was given. The payment of bills
was approved. M. J. Gardner made the motion for approval,
J. Middleton seconded. Roll call vote was taken.
J. Skinner gave the BOLS report. She has been asked
to be on the Bur Oak Personnel and Policy Committee.
There were no committee reports.
The proposed changes in the by-laws were tabled so
new board members can study them.
The question of selling library equipment was raised.
The Building Committee will study it.
The Mayor said that C. Gardner is interested in being
a board' member if we can change our meeting night.
Behrens moved to adjourn, Skinner seconded. All were
in favor.
