LIBRARIAN REPORT: October was a veru Q000 month aue to science reports
startlny; Jar; -Front. did a very nice Halloween bulletin board; aria Carla Taylor

rill be sent to Mc:. Taylor. Two story hours were cancelled during the month. Dot;

BOLS REP. REPORT: Ellis-Smith reported that Jim Edger was at their meeting to
the ti 'iirnirtgtor! Township Grant.
STANDING COMMITTEES C:itu Council member Larry Small stated that the Boy
Scouts would give the library elgtlt white pines seven feet tall; if we would move
them Sue said she woulr c.necl.: With different nurseries about the cost.
PERSONNEL COMMITTEE: Jan Tronc: reported that Kim IK:::ohl, r':, salary should be
raised from 13.48 to $3.75 per hour. Kim assumed the position es Library
Assistant tete first of September. Jan made a motion that Kirni Koehlers salary
should be $3.75 per hour retroactive to September I, and that all salaries be
reviewed in the Spring at budget time. Sue second the motion.
OLD BUSINESS: Mary-Ellen said that everything went well at the dedication: "The
city council did us proud' and that "Joyce did a veru nice job as M.C." Sue said that
the total cost of the dedication Was $134.00.
NEW BUSINESS: Sue brought up the matter of furniture for the loft. The J.D. Hart
company's prices were discussed. The prices were: for chair fabric: $480, Haug.
445, for a two-seat loveseat. naug. $715 and fabric $780. If an order was placed
it would take six weeks to deliver the furniture.
ADJOURNMENT: Mary-Ellen moved that we adjourn et 8:22 pm, Carolyn seconded
