Reviewed By: Legal Finance Engineer City Administrator Community Development Purchasing Police Public Works Parks and Recreation Agenda Item Number Mayor’s Report #6 Supplemental Information #1 Tracking Number CC 2021-08 Intergovernmental Agreement between the Kendall County Board of Health and the City Concerning Volunteers to Assist with Administering COVID-19 Vaccinations City Council – January 26, 2021 Majority Approval Bart Olson Administration Name Department Supplemental Information – distributed 01/24/21 Resolution No. 2021-____ Page 1 Resolution No. 2021-____ RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE KENDALL COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH AND THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY, ILLINOIS, CONCERNING VOLUNTEERS TO ASSIST WITH ADMINISTERING COVID-19 VACCINATIONS WHEREAS, the United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois (the “City”) is a duly organized and validly existing municipality of the State of Illinois pursuant to the 1970 Illinois Constitution and the Illinois Municipal Code, as from time to time amended (the “Municipal Code”) (65 ILCS 5/65-1-1-2, et seq.); and, WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 5-25013 of the Illinois Counties Code (55 ILCS 5/1-1001 et seq.) the Kendall County Board of Health (the “Board”) is authorized by law to initiate and carry out programs and activities of all kinds, not inconsistent with law, that may be deemed necessary or desirable in the promotion and protection of health and in the control of disease including tuberculosis; and, WHEREAS, given its statutory authority, the Board has been tasked by the State of Illinois to coordinate the vaccination program of Kendall County against the coronavirus known as COVID-19 in accordance with the State of Illinois COVID-19 Vaccination Plan; and, WHEREAS, the Board has requested and the City has agreed to assist the Board with the contacting, scheduling, and organizing volunteers to provide such vaccinations, pursuant to the Intergovernmental Agreement attached hereto. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, as follows: Section 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated into this Resolution as if fully restated herein. Resolution No. 2021-____ Page 2 Section 2. The Intergovernmental Agreement between the Kendall County Board of Health and the United City of Yorkville , Kendall County, Illinois, Concerning Volunteers to Assist with the Administering of COVID-19 Vaccinations, in the form attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby approved; and, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute said Agreement.
