Discussion:
1.) 1996/1997 Budget - A memo to all department heads has been sent
out to let them know to start working on their budgets. This memo
also needs to be sent out to all boards. Would like to have some
target numbers for the next Administration Meeting on January 30,
1996. Nanninga would also like input from Aldermen on projects that
need to be done in their Wards to see if they will fit into the budget.
Bring back to next Administration Meeting on January 30, 1996.
2.) Codification - Never passed a resolution to pass the codification.
About one month away from having all ordinances: About two years
behind. Nanninga would like to get them caught up. Prochaska
would like to see a policy set to make sure this gets done on a regular
basis.
3.) Public Works Employee Pay Scale - When time were tough the public
works pay scale was cut. Now that things are better, the Public
Works Department would like to put the scale back into place where
they should be. They would like to be competitive with other towns.
The pay scale does not include the cost of living increase and it does
not include the $.50 increase for a license. Theres basically six steps
to the step program. It will take a written recommendation from J.T.
to Nanninga for an employee to advance from MW1 to MW2.
Prochaska would like to see a policy written for MW2 so everyone
will know how it will work. Scale needs to show anniversary date s.
Would like to see all full time employees on scale. Need to talk with
Dan and find out if this needs to go into Executive Session or if it will
just be adopted. Bring back to Next Administration Meeting on
January 30, 1996.
4.) Earthmover Credit Union - City employees seem very interested in the
Earthmover Credit Union. Would be nice to have it if you wanted to
use it. Take to COW as Additional Business.

5.) Additional Business
Nanninga would like to audit position of Deputy Treasurer to make
sure job duties match pay. Deputy Treasurer pays $1800 yearly and
Deputy Clerk pays $2900 yearly. Mayor Johnson feels Nanninga
should do audit and decide it the position is being compensated.
Bring back to next Administration Meeting on January 30, 1996.
Mayor would like to have an evulation done on all employees.
City Hall Update - Probably will not hear anything until March. It has
been weatherized. Nanninga would like to talk to Historical Society to
work out a date. City needs to let them know that it is becoming
hard to protect.
Court House Renovations - Mayor Johnson needs to find out if the
City can get in there to do some maintenance work. Mayor Johnson
will contact Judge Wegman.
