A RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDERS RELATING TO
651 PRAIRIE POINTE DRIVE, YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS
(Eleventh Set of Change Orders)
WHEREAS, the United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois (the "City") is a duly
organized and validly existing non -home rule municipality created in accordance with the
Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970 and the laws of the State; and,
WHEREAS, the City has acquired the building and property commonly known as 651
Prairie Pointe Drive (the "New City Hall") for the purpose of rehabilitating the building and
repurposing it as the new Yorkville City Hall and the headquarters of the Yorkville Police
Department (the "Project"); and,
WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposals to construct the Project and after
review and evaluation of submittals from several firms, the City entered into a contract with Lite
Construction of Montgomery, Illinois (the "Contract"); and,
WHEREAS, the Contract, as approved by the City with Lite Construction, provided a line
item for unforeseen contingencies due to the fact that the New City Hall was constructed in 2007
and change orders were guaranteed to come as demolition of existing walls and ceilings occurred;
and,
WHEREAS, Lite Construction has submitted five (5) change orders to the original
Contract, as itemized on the list attached hereto, modifications to the original work design as
mandated to conform to current code standards resulting in an additional costs totaling $12,607;
and,
WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the change orders as submitted by Lite Construction
and acknowledges that the work covered by these change orders was unforeseen but is necessary

and in the best interest of the City; therefore, the City is prepared to approve the Change Order as
hereinafter provided.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the United
City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, as follows:
1.
Section 1. The foregoing preambles are hereby adopted as if fully restated in this Section
Section 2. That the change orders as itemized on the list attached hereto as submitted by
Lite Construction resulting in total additional costs of $12,607 are hereby approved.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and
approval as provided by law.
Passed by the City Council of the United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois this

In Evidence Processing Lab 120 and Bag & Tag 124, provide a 3-way control wall switch with indicator light connected to exhaust fan
EF-1-2 for each of the two exhaust arms. The control switches are intended to operate the exhaust fan individually or simultaneously while
the exhaust arms are in use. Final location of wall switches to be verified in field by owner. Refer to attached sketch ASK-001 for
preliminary locations. Include all wiring and conduit as required for complete operating system and provide standard device labeling on
control switches.

For the connection at the Fuming Chamber Cabinet, increase from 1.5" PVC to 2" at the outlet. Route the 2" PVC to the 4" E/A duct and
connect to side of duct at 45 degrees. Duct connection to be sealed in compliance with standard mechanical specifications. Verify installation
and operation controls in field with current conditions. The cut sheet for Fuming Chamber Cabinet is attached for reference. Modify
acoustical ceiling the as required for pipe run. Any cutting to be clean and held tight to pipe. Contingent on approval of PR41 to add the
wall switch control- provide label to indicate control is for Fuming Chamber Cabinet and/or Exhaust Arm. confirm terminology with owner
prior to finalizing.
