A RESOLUTION OF THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE, KENDALL
COUNTY, ILLINOIS,AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN
APPLICATION TO KKCOM 2025 CALL FOR PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the United City of Yorkville (the "City") is a duly organized and validly
existing non home-rule municipality created in accordance with the Constitution of the State of
Illinois of 1970 and the laws of the State; and
WHEREAS, the Kane-Kendall Council of Mayors ("KKCOM") annually chooses certain
municipal roadway improvement projects to receive KKCOM funding(the "Program"); and
WHEREAS, the City has previously applied for and received funding assistance through
the Program for various roadway improvement projects within the City's corporate boundaries;
and
WHEREAS,the City's engineers have identified three roadway improvement projects that
would qualify for funding assistance through the Program, and have requested the City submit an
application for funding to the Program; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council (the "Corporate Authorities") desire to take
advantage of the Program and therefore wish to authorize the City's engineers to submit an
application to the Program.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the United
City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated in this Resolution as the findings
of the Corporate Authorities.
Section 2.The Corporate Authorities hereby authorize the City's engineers to submit an
application to the Kane-Kendall Council of Mayors 2025 call for road improvement projects.
Section 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval
as provided by law.
