Discussion:
1.) PC 95 -14 Leahy Rezoning - Leahy contacted the Burlington Northern
Railroad. If the building had the property first then the building would
have to be responsible for removal. If Leahy finds out that the tracks
are property of the buildings he will donate that to the City. J.T. said
the City will handle finding out who the property that the railroad
tracks are on belongs to. At a certain time Leahy would like the
building to be commercial. For the first year it will be owner occupied.
There will be a concrete parking area. There has not been any
complaints with the zoning. Baker is happy with the list. Take to
i COW. Following Thursday take to Council for vote. J.T. will have
documents done by Thursday.
2.) Marketing Strategy - Jim has started on the mapping idea. The maps
have 19.00 zoning with 1995 outline /boundary. Zoning with color.
There are seven pages, trying to keep a landmark on each sheet.
Need to identify vacant property and zone it, put in a book. Maybe
Sue Bullock will help supply vacant property and zoning. Prochaska
feels maybe the area realtors would like a copy of the maps.
3.) Sign Ordinance Committee - The three people on the committee
representing the business community are Joel Ottosen, Janet Dhuse,
and Gary Rice. Candi Forginger has joined the committee representing
the residential area. Still need one more resident. The Committee will
be taught everything they need to know about the sign ordinance.
4.) Preview Final Draft of Economic Development Video - Take to COW.
5.) Possible Annexation Agreement - Dean Fisher Property - Fisher needs
to come into the City and talk with us and let us know what kind of
zoning he needs. Invite Fisher to next Economic Development

meeting.
6.) Additional Business
Nanninga got a visit from Jim Olson. There is some interest in the lots
on Cannonball Trail and RT. 34. Bank has foreclosed on property.
Olson would like to put a strip mall in with offices in the back. Right
in, right out only on Rt. 34. One entrance on Rt. 34 and one on
Cannonball Trail.
Golf Course South of Town consider joint ownership. 18 hole golf
course. Ropalo's plan is to add more residential and maybe a club
house. Golf course on Rt. 47 & Rt. 71. Need to talk to property
owners.
Baker would like four people from this committee to have copies of
Kendall County Plat Book.
Nanninga talked with Fox Metro. They are not concerned if they
service someone that is in our City. If we can get the FPA expanded to
Orchard Road it would be unlikely Oswego would come in and try to
take that area. It doesn't really matter who takes the sewer.
Sowinski attended the Bristol Plan Commission Meeting. Bristol does
not discuss plans at the meeting. Bristol wanted to know how
committed we were to our comprehensive plan? Once study of
northwest land is completed what are our plans?
