A RESOLUTION OF THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE, KENDALL COUNTY,
ILLINOIS, APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER RELATING TO WATER
METER REPLACEMENT
WHEREAS, the United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois (the "City") is a duly
organized and validly existing non home rule municipality of the State of Illinois within the
meaning of Article VII, Section 10 of the 1970 Illinois Constitution; and
WHEREAS, the City entered into an agreement with Core and Main to replace 3,928 water
meters as a part of a City-wide water meter replacement program (the "Project"); and,
WHEREAS, in preparing a master list of water meters to be replaced, the method used to
determine the total number missed 325 water meters resulting in an increase of $67,000 to the
original contract price of $1,830,389.10; and,
WHEREAS, the City has investigated the cause of the incorrect count of water meters to
be replaced and the need for an additional 325 water meters, and has determined that it is in the
best interest of the City to proceed with the Project and authorize payment of the additional cost
of $67,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the United
City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1. That the foregoing preambles are hereby adopted as if fully restated in this
Section 1.
Section 2. That the payment of the increase of $67,000 to the total cost of the Project to
replace an additional 325 water meters is hereby approved.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval as provided by law.

Prices are good until December 31, 2026. Delivery can be made from stock to within twelve (12) weeks
from receipt of your purchase order. Our terms of payment are net thirty (30) days.
