Public Hearings
1. PZC 2026-06 103 Strawberry Lane, Daniel Freidel, petitioner, has filed an application with the
United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, requesting a bulk regulation variance to Section
10-3-9 of the Unified Development Ordinance, seeking to reduce the required minimum rear yard
setback from forty (40) feet to fourteen (14) feet for a parcel located at 103 Strawberry Ln. The
variance is being requested to allow construction of a bedroom addition, garage addition, and a
screened porch addition to their existing residence. The real property, zoned R-2 Single Family
Traditional Residence District, is located near the northeast corner of the Conover Court and
Strawberry Lane intersection.
2. PZC 2026-08 Solar Farm Decommissioning Bonds, United City of Yorkville, petitioner, proposes
to amend Title 10, Chapter 4 Use Standards, Section 13 Alternative Energy Use Standards of the
United City of Yorkville’s Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) to revise and clarify the type and
term of the required financial assurance needed to properly secure future decommissioning of solar
panels on solar farm developments.
