HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2026-075Resolution No. 2026-75 A RESOLUTION OF THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS IN SUPPORT OF AN ILLINOIS TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM (ITEP) GRANT APPLICATION FOR PEDESTRIAN / BICYCLE FACILITIES ALONG CANNONBALL TRAIL FROM BLACKBERRY SHORE LANE TO IL ROUTE 47 WHEREAS, the United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois (the "City"), is a duly organized unit of government of the State of Illinois within the meaning of Article VII, Section 10 of the 1970 Illinois Constitution; and WHEREAS, the desires to participate in the construction of a multi -use path on Cannonball Trail between Blackberry Shore Lane and Illinois Route 47 WHEREAS, the City has participated in the Integrated Transportation Plan, and has determined that the Project is consistent with the strategic priorities identified in the plan; and WHEREAS, an Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) Grant will fund 80% of eligible preliminary engineering, design, construction, and construction engineering and 50% of right of way of the proposed improvements with the remaining costs and ineligibles to be paid for with local funds; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, as follows: Section 1. The recitals set forth above are incorporated into this Resolution as if fully restated herein. Section 2. The City does hereby commit to paying up to 20% required local match to complete the design, construction, and construction engineering and up to 50% required local match for right of way acquisition, and all eligible costs associated with the Project. Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
