Old Business
1. The movie at the Rec Center on went very well and had a good turnout. April at the Beecher
Center was “The Great Debate” with “Gran Torino” in June.
The cost for each movie is $75. If a fee is charged, 50% of the amount collected also has to be
paid for the movie. There was a question as to whether a ‘donation’ could be collected. Patty
will check on this. Bob stated that if they would like to do a patriotic movie in July, the Knights
of Columbus will donate $100 to cover the cost.
th
2. During Older Americans Month in May, there will be a Volunteer Drive on May 5 open to
any community organization. The City had been planning a Volunteer Fair and there was a

Kane and McHenry is very active and they provide volunteers for over 100 entities in the area.
Tim will check on what needs the City has.
th

Not much is new from the state on funding. There will be cuts, possibly in the Circuit Breaker
