Old Business
1.Fashion Show – Rick Niksic of Law Elder Law will be the MC. We have
commitments from UPS, Nicor, ComEd, Comcast and working on AT&T. Also
Yorkville City Water and Public Works Departments. Sheriff Randall brought up the
event at the Chiefs’ Meeting and it was well received. One problem is that Kevin
Williams, from the Kane County Sheriff’s Department who had done the original
Power Point presentation and had agreed to share it has had a stroke and is not at
work. Barry Groesch was to try to find out the status of getting this program. Bonnie
Schradel was able to get a door from the Yorkville Middle School. We will also need
a desk and chair and if possible, a sink from somewhere as the skit does better with
that visual. Valerie Burd suggested asking her husband as he has lots of things
around.
Glory Spies asked if we gift baskets would be given as raffle or door prizes. It was
decided that if we had a few baskets, we could do a raffle at 1 ticket for $.50 or 3 for
$1.00. Funds would go to the TRIAD account. Glory will check on getting a coffee
basket from a vendor.
2.Bonnie Schradel noted that Senior Services Fashion Show over the weekend raised
over $12,000. Mayor Burd was a model.
3.The Beecher lease was approved and thanks to the City of Yorkville, Senior Services
has a 5 year lease at $500 per month.

people from the various groups that rent the Beecher Center are picking them up also.
