RESOLUTION APPOINTING
DIXON ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING AS WASTE FACILITY CONSULTANT
FOR THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council of the UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE
deem it in the best interest of the UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE to retain a waste facility
consultant to provide technical waste transfer siting services; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Environmental Protection Act(415 ILCS 5/39.2) and the United
City of Yorkville Code require strict adherence with the law in obtaining local siting approval for
a waste transfer station; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council have met with Kevin T. Dixon of Dixon
Environmental Consulting and have determined it to be in the best interest of the City to utilitze
his services with regard to local siting approval for waste transfer stations in accordance with the
scope of services attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit"A"; and
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED THAT THE UNITED CITY OF YORKVILLE appoints
Dixon Environmental Consulting of Wheaton, Illinois as the Waste Facility Consultant to
provide technical waste transfer siting services to the United City of Yorkville in accordance with
the scope of services described in Exhibit"A".
