Fire and Police Commission Minutes 2011 10-13-11 APPROVED Board of Fire and Police Commission Minutes October 13, 2011 Meeting called to order at 7:06 p.m. Roll Call: Bob Johnson Margie Putzler Mike Anderson Also Present: Chief Hart Katie Robbins No citizens’ comments. Previous Meeting Minutes: Commissioner Anderson moved to approve the minutes from September 15 and October 3, 2011 as presented. Commissioner Putzler seconded. Roll call: Chairman Johnson yes Commissioner Anderson yes Commissioner Putzler yes Motion carried. Correspondence: None Executive Session: Commissioner Putzler moved to go into executive session for the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. Commissioner Anderson seconded. Roll call: Chairman Johnson yes Commissioner Anderson yes Commissioner Putzler yes Motion carried. Entered Executive Session at 7:08 p.m. Exited Executive Session at 7:23 p.m. with no formal action taken. New Business: Commissioner Putzler moved to remove Justin Keller and Nicholas Ross from the Eligibility Register. Commissioner Anderson seconded. Roll call: Chairman Johnson yes Commissioner Anderson yes Commissioner Putzler yes Motion carried. Commissioner Putzler moved to make hire both Roman Soebbing and Sara Gerlach as Police Officers with the United City of Yorkville effective upon their swearing in. Commissioner Anderson seconded. Roll call: Chairman Johnson yes Commissioner Anderson yes Commissioner Putzler yes Motion carried. IFPC Association dues renewal was discussed. It was agreed by consensus to renew the membership and pay the $375 dues. The next meeting will be the hearing date of October 21, 2011 at 5:00 pm. Commissioner Anderson moved to adjourn. Commissioner Putzler seconded. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:29 p.m.
