The meeting was called to order at 7 pm by Anne Lucietto.
The members in attendance broke into two groups to discuss issues they believe are
important to their communities, and that the consortium could use as learning and planning
tools. Lucietto asked the groups to discuss these issues for about a half hour, in which time
she and Travis Miller jotted down the ideas suggested by those in attendance.
The groups came together as a whole and the commissioners voted on their meeting topic
preferences. Two topics in a tie were voted on by the remainder of the group members.
Below is a list of topics that were discussed, listed, on order, by those receiving the greatest
number of votes. The first 5 topics listed will be brought forward this year for further
discussions at the workshops.
Excess housing inventory—new homes, foreclosed homes, maintenance, new developers 9
Establish scenic highways/byways (Rogers & Millbrook Rd., eg.) 9
Asst. living and/or age restricted developments—zoning, regulating, land use, impact 8
& assessment fees, demands on services
CMAP regional 2040 update, rail extension status (CMAP training and resources) 7
Wind Power 6

Bipartisan comparison/benchmarking of community projects, assist w strategic planning 4

Joliet and Millbrook have volunteered to host meeting this year. The meeting was adjourned at
8 pm.
