Fire and Police Commission Minutes 2012 03-05-12 APPROVED Board of Fire and Police Commission Minutes March 5, 2012 Meeting called to order at 6:01 p.m. Roll Call: Mike Anderson Bob Johnson Margie Putzler Also Present: Deputy Chief Hilt Katie Robbins No citizens present, therefore, no comments. Previous Meeting Minutes: Commissioner Anderson noted that the dates on the previous minutes should state 2012. He moved to approve the minutes from January 25, 2012 as corrected. Commissioner Putzler seconded. Minutes approved. Bills: None Correspondence: An application arrived after the deadline, and not in response to our job posting. Katie will draft a letter stating that we are in the middle of our process and have already tested for this Eligibility Register. Bob will approve the letter before sending our response. Executive Session: Commissioner Anderson moved to go into executive session for the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. Commissioner Putzler seconded. Roll call: Chairman Johnson yes Commissioner Anderson yes Commissioner Putzler yes Motion carried. Entered Executive Session at 6:05 p.m. Exited Executive Session at 7:07 p.m. with no formal action taken. *Commissioner Anderson moved to adopt the Initial Eligibility Register as presented. Commissioner Putzler seconded. Roll call: Chairman Johnson yes Commissioner Anderson yes Commissioner Putzler yes Motion carried. The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for Monday, March 19, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. All requests for preference points will be reviewed at this meeting and a Primary Eligibility Register will be created. Commissioner Anderson moved to adjourn. Commissioner Putzler seconded. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:09 p.m.
